Beauty is only skin deep

I've spent all weekend cleaning out my inventory. Been deleting things I've had since I rezzed back in 07. I'm currently down to just over 86,000 items but my goal is to get it down to 50,000 so I've still got some major weeding out to do. One area I can't seem to delete anything from is my skins folder. I love going back and looking at how some of the best selling skin designers in SL have evolved. It's really quite amazing. 

The skin above is Lara Hurley's newest creation Elsa. I bought my first Lara skin, Vanessa, July 2nd of 2009 and I still have it. Can't bring myself to delete it. Seems like I wore it forever. These days, my skin changes with my moods. Can be weekly, daily....a few times it's been hourly and I'm always looking for really beautiful skins. Guess you could say I'm a collector. I'd hate to think of exactly how much of my inventory is skin but in Lara's folder alone I have 27 fat packs and that doesn't include the group gifts, hunt items or singles I've purchased over the past 3 years. Last time I counted I had about 60 different skin designer folders altogether. After five years on the grid, I've collected some of the most beautiful skins. So more than likely I'll make the cuts elsewhere.

I love the country. I've always been a country girl. If I had my pick of places to live it'd be high up in the mountains somewhere, preferably with lots of wooded area, a meadow and babbling brooks nearby. There's something about sitting quietly and listening to the sounds of nature that calms and soothes me like nothing else. A few times a year my family travels to the mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and nestled high up between the mountain peaks is an old settlement called Cades Cove. For hundreds of years the Cherokee Indians hunted there but it wasn't really settled until the early 1800's. It's some of the most beautiful and peaceful country I've seen here in the US. So if you're ever looking for somewhere to get away from it all and surround yourself with all things mother earth, pack up and head for Gatlinburg. It will feed your soul.

I'm a shoe whore. I love shoe shopping so when I saw these hot stilettos at VG Creations I just had to have them. Laces and bows and ankle straps oh my! All of the perfect components I love in ultra sexy footwear. The hud is very user friendly which is a big plus because when I wanna get dressed and bounce I hate fiddling with complicated huds that tick away my time and leave me frustrated. Buy a single pair or a mini pack but either way, at this price they're a steal. Wearing these babies will definitely turn heads.

Crushin Hard

Been busy learning to build over the past month. Every chance I get I'm on my land hammering away. I love creating something from nothing...it feeds my soul. Anyway, I realized I hadn't been shopping in ages, which for me is a wicked crime so I put down my tool belt and got back out in to the fashion sims of SL. I tp'd in to a store called Crush that I had never been in before. They had some smokin hot outfits on the walls, one of which snagged my attention away from the rest. I love this dress, the way it accentuates the curves of my shape, the lines and angles that are simply perfect. Naturally I wanted to blog it. I also made a point to landmark Crush which I rarely do because lm's bog down my inventory but I definitely want to keep an eye out for future new releases from this place. Take my advice and go check it out. I guarantee you’ll dig the designs.
