It was perfect for this blog post as I wanted to take part in the Maci Restless black and white blogger challenge. There's something about black and white photos that bring a depth and drama to them that I really love. Cynful has a hot little ruffled mesh skirt available now at The Dressing Room Blue and it comes in two shades, a dark blue and a light blue. I'm wearing the dark above. I paired it with Kyoot's Atonement top I got at their 50L sale. It's got such a wicked cool texture to it I couldn't resist grabbing it and it looks amazing on. I'm always on the look out for unique looking clothes and this top definitely fits the bill.

Holli Pocket created some adorable items for the Pink Ribbon Fair that begins tomorrow Aug 4th and runs through the 25th. It's a charity event for breast cancer and many of SL's biggest designers will be creating unique designs for this important fashion fair so be sure you take some time to check it out over the next few weeks. The Teeny Kini and Busteh Top I am wearing above are Holli Pocket's designs that you'll find there along with so many others as they donate their hard work for a really good cause.

Truth Be Told

New hair!! No, it's not from the hair fair, just a little store called Truth. I've been in love with Truth hair for years. Sure there are tons of other great hair designers out there and some really talented people but Truth just has the best of everything. This one is called Aurora. Lovely long layers of  Truth rigged mesh goodness. I'm such a sucker for side swept bangs. Anyway kids, this one's drop dead so forget trying to fight the lag of the hair fair for a few days and go immerse yourself in Truth's newest creation.

Mesh Love

I adore this new skirt from NCparis. It's so well made and the movement flows when I walk. I have to say my affection for mesh designs is growing especially with so many that require no shape modification. Of course trying on the demos is a huge help. I definitely don't recommend buying anything without doing that. Something that should go without saying when considering mesh purchases however I know people who haven't. NCparis has so many beautiful mesh designs. I'll definitely keep my eye out for their next new release and you should too.

In The Pink

It's hot as hell. The mercury is kissing 104 and there is no relief in sight. However, I'm sitting here in a wonderfully cool, climate controlled home relaxing with a nice tall glass of ice water and a bowl filled with chunks of chilled watermelon. All of the things on my "to do" list have been done and now it's "me time". Got Norah Jones' soft, sultry voice singin "Turn Me On" coming through my speakers and just enjoying life. Wanted to blog something soft and floral, however, I'm not much of a floral kinda woman so I opted for floral scenery instead. Anyway, here's something soft and pretty.

The Innocent Suffer

Ok, I'm sorry people but I'm a little sidetracked today about a story I read in the news this morning about a man who forgot his toddler was in the car with him. He drove on to work forgetting to drop the child off at daycare and left him baking in the car for two hours before co-workers noticed him and called 911. This child was lucky and survived, others have not been. Near the end of the article it was stated that there is now a free app called "Baby Reminder" that notifies parents when they're driving with their child in the car.

Seriously?? Who are these people? I have to ask....have we as a society become so self involved...so preoccupied that we need an app to remind us that our children are in the car with us? What's so terrifying is that these "incidents" are becoming so common. Every summer when the temps start to soar you hear of innocent children who have lost their lives because their caregivers just forgot all about them. I'm sorry, but IMHO, if you need an app to remind you about your kid. They should not be in your care.

People, if you have children...WAKE TF UP!! Get off the computer, put down your phone, stop face booking, tweeting, blogging, untangle yourself from work...whatever the hell you're so wrapped up in doing and give them the attention and care they deserve.
